Kevin Molony

Kevin Molony is a talented visual effects director with strong performance skills and whose strength lies in technically challenging scripts.

Kevin’s first 90 minute improvised comedy drama There’s no Business featured an impressive list of British comedians such as Alexander Armstrong, Mark Benton, Steve Frost and Mark Arden, Roland Rivron and Jonathan Ross. Whilst his 20 min drama Sylvester won the Kodak award at the Los Angeles International Film Festival and also Best Cinematography at the 8th International Film Festival in Granada.

Kevin continues to direct a variety of commercials focusing on a high end visual style incorporating seamless post production trickery. To date he has picked up numerous awards (Clios/One Show/ BTAA / D&AD/Epica/etc.) in the UK, US and Europe and has directed campaigns for amongst others The UK National Lottery launch, Nike, BMW, Heineken, Toyota, Lion Bar, Playstation, Michelin, Heineken, St.Paul’s, O2, The ING group and Lloyds bank.

MTP was formed in 1988 with the intention of being the first Scottish based Commercials Production Company.

In the year 2000 we were acclaimed to be the Production Company of the Decade because we had brought ‘International standards of Production to Scotland.’ In 2011 we became the only Production Company to be given an achievement award for making an outstanding contribution to the British Advertising Industry.

We operate a policy of developing new talent locally and we also work with London based and overseas Directors where appropriate.

We operate a Production Service arm helping overseas and English companies find filming locations and shoot in Scotland.

Our documentary company MSP has won numerous awards since it's inception in 2005, including a Royal Television Society nomination.

We are becoming more and more involved with viral and web content and our internet work has also achieved many awards including UK Viral of the Year 2010.

We have won over 200 national and international awards and been in D&AD twelve times.
