Carlo D'Alessandro

Carlo D’Alessandro’s first short film as a director, “Room 9”, won him the Best Fiction RTS award. He has since directed documentary dramas for STV and the BBC, including include the major documentary series “The Stuarts”, and the award-winning documentary Michael Palin in “Wyeth’s World”, for which he won the RTS award for best camera. As a cinematographer, he has shot campaigns for clients such as Visit Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, KFC, The Open University and Macmillan Publishers. With MTP he has shot and directed advertising campaigns such as Irn-Bru’s ‘Thank You’ for the Commonwealth Games, and Network Rail’s Borders Railway Project.

MTP was formed in 1988 with the intention of being the first Scottish based Commercials Production Company.

In the year 2000 we were acclaimed to be the Production Company of the Decade because we had brought ‘International standards of Production to Scotland.’ In 2011 we became the only Production company to be given an achievement award for making an outstanding contribution to the British Advertising Industry.
